About Us

In 2017, Wag the Dog Theatre Company was started by a small group of passionate professional theatre artists who wanted greater control of their artistic work in Singapore. They designed WTD as a cooperative company in which the artists themselves were the owners, creators and producers. Expenses are shared equally and profits are rolled back into the operating and production budget.  All artistic and business decisions are decided by the artists themselves. There is no CEO and no Board of Directors. We pick the work we want to do and never shy away from challenges or opportunities to do difficult plays. We cast ourselves in roles that most other theatre companies would never offer us. We embrace a naturalistic style of acting that is authentic and personal offering the audience an authentic and intimate experience. At our core we are storytellers forever in search of the next great tale.
